Joseph Ancheta began dancing at the age of 13 taking hip hop classes at Creative Image Dance Studio in Bergenfield, NJ. He then joined FR3SH Dance Company’s junior team and became captain his first year. After the disbandment of FR3SH in 2010, he joined UFP Dance Company where he would direct over the next few years. In 2015 he founded his own company ‘The Wannabes’ along with Katrina Endozo. Together they would place top 3 in multiple dance competitions throughout the east coast. Through The Wannabes, Joseph was able to open up “The Hive” New Jersey’s first all urban dance studio where they host open classes for adult beginners and aspiring dancers. Currently, Joseph continues to run his company and studio, as well as work under Iconic’s very own Geo Hubela where he assists with the recreational and team classes. He has also had the privilege to assist on projects such as 34th and Phunk (Macy’s Day Parade & Hollywood Christmas Parade) and Hardwood Hittaz (Brooklyn Nets Halftime Show). Joseph continues to look for ways to improve not just as a dancer, but an overall teacher and choreographer as well.
